Really enjoyed this story! It is a quick but interesting read and explains part of how the family ended up with such a cool house & why the family lawyer is so invested and part of the goings on. Only wish would be that it was longer, Etta Faire really knows how to bring you into her books!

When your house has rooms that feel forbidden, there’s usually a reason…

Carly knows hers. Gate House is brimming with ghosts, and the secrets they died with. Among them is Ronald, the family lawyer, a mysterious spirit from the 1800s who holds a lot of the house’s darkest truths.

So when Carly gets the opportunity to channel with him to relive the day he met Henry and Eliza in New York, she can’t resist. It’s a chance to uncover why Ronald came to Gate House in the first place — and the connections he has to the curse, Carly’s baby box, and a possible murder.

But the more Carly channels, the more she realizes she’s somehow connected to this memory, too.

And this might be the beginning of her own darker secrets.
