Etta Faire hates talking about herself in the third person, but she’ll make uncomfortably awkward exceptions for bios on her website.

She may hide behind cartoon images of herself, but she’s not AI. (It’s strange you have to say that nowadays.) She’s a mystery, thriller, and suspense writer who’s been writing para-cozies since 2018 under Etta Faire, and is only newly dipping her toes into the thriller genre as E.L. Faire. She loves both genres equally and will be splitting her time writing between each.

She lives in Southern California with her family, where she can be seen struggling with her addictions to coffee, books, true crime TV, and cats. (She is not seeking help for any of her addictions, although her bookcases would argue that she probably should.)
